Paint Shop Pro: This is the first graphics program I learned to use. Very easy and user friendly. Cost is about $60.00 USD Bucks. There is also a free 30 day trial. I beleive you can get an extension on the trial period all you have to do is ask for it.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 : Professional Graphics program: What all the Internet Marketing Graphic Artists use. It does take alot of time to learn. But the results are very professional. You can make ebook covers, landing and squeeze page images. Great Tool for manipulating real photos. The cost is usually between $700.00 and $1,000.00 USD bucks.
