How and what is FTP?
Easy quick tutorial on how to FTP or file transfer protocol.What is FTP? It is an abbrveiation for file transfer protocol. It is way of transfering your website files that are on your computer to your webhosting server. Once you transfer these files they are now viewable to the world wide web.
Remember before you actually start FTPing you will need to learn HTML
There are hundreds of FTP programs that help you do that.
I'll name a few right here.

Ftpclient.com FTP for Macs
If you are using a windows based computer I recommend Aceftp.
1. Download Aceftp and add it to your start programs.
2. Open up Aceftp
3. Below is what it should look like.

4. Ok now you will need to use the hostname and password your webhosting company gave you.
Your hostname is usually yourwebsitename.com and your password is what you gave your hosting company as a password.
5. See image below. Hostname is where you type in yourwebsitename.com. The id is where you type your username. And the password is your password.
6. You can now edit your webpages using HTML-KIT and upload those files to your webhosting server.
7. Be sure you upload your files to the "public_HTML" Directory. IT is also called the root and main directory.
